Tim and Adam playing a few tunes on the Concrete Herald float.
One of our favorite eatin' place in Concrete....Annie's Pizza!
Happy 100th Concrete!
The newspaper delivery kids.We headed up to Concrete on Friday afternoon, arriving at Jason's around 4 p.m. We had burgers on the BBQ for dinner along with Mom's fabulous potato salad. That evening we ran through some of our music and rolled newspapers for the parade the next day.
Saturday morning dawned bright and sunny! Jason gave me his REALLY good camera and let me be the "photographer" during the parade. Hannah and Jonathan (dressed in their 1930's newskids outfits) walked along with Jason's Concrete Herald float which was carrying Tim and Adam playing fiddle and banjo. The kids tossed out the newspapers to the spectators. Jonathan was having the time of his life calling "Get your Concrete Herald!" "Hot off the press!" It was great to see how excited the whole town is about the "new" Concrete Herald. That afternoon we played music in the park and had a great audience. It was loads of fun and the weather was great all weekend! Sunday morning we all went to church and then headed home.
